Cuppa was founded by British developer Ian Nuttall as a cost-effective solution to AI SEO writing tools that charged credits for OpenAI API generated content.
April 2023Chris Riley, the founder and CEO of ACME Studio and also a beta tester of Cuppa at the time, decides to acquire Cuppa from Ian and start building a team.
June 2023In August, Chris hires the now head of Engineering, Faisal, who becomes a full-time employee for Cuppa and starts building the tool into a fully-fledged suite.
August 2023Charles Floate, Todd Foster, Jason Hunt, & Tim Stoddart invest in Cuppa and bring their countless years of digital marketing experience to the table with new ideas & users.
October 2023We revamped the tool from an article generator into a content suite, improved the core tools, and added built-in content manipulation, AI imagery from multiple models, custom shortcodes, custom HTML code, and the programmatic SEO tool.
November 2023With all models increasing context windows, we decided to increase the input field size and add additional fields like meta descriptions and keywords/entities.
January 2024In April, we launched product reviews and roundups with the Amazon API, integrated Zapier and started beta testing Perplexity research, which launched in June.
April 2024After months of preparation and testing, the new version of Cuppa is finally launched! With templates for every content type, more user features than ever before, faster content generation times, improved docs and a brand new site!
